Roles & Responsibilities

• Assess patients' mobility, strength, balance, and functional limitations with thoughtful evaluation
• Develop individualized treatment plans that help patients reach their goals
• Implement therapeutic interventions including therapeutic exercise and manual therapy
• Document progress and outcomes clearly and efficiently in the electronic health record
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to coordinate holistic patient care
• Educate patients and caregivers on home exercise programs and injury prevention
• Contribute to a patient-centered environment that fosters trust and positive outcomes

Qualifications

• Current Physical Therapist license valid in Maine (or ability to obtain prior to start)
• Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) preferred; Master’s or Bachelor’s in Physical Therapy also considered
• Basic Life Support (BLS) / CPR certification required
• Comfortable with outpatient orthopedic and neurologic caseloads
• Strong communication and documentation skills; teamwork mindset
• 1+ year of clinical experience preferred but new grads with rotations are welcome to apply

Education

• Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) preferred
• Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Physical Therapy acceptable depending on state requirements

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in patient assessment and developing targeted treatment plans
• Proficient in manual therapy techniques and therapeutic exercise prescription
• Experience with fall risk assessment and balance training
• Familiarity with electronic health records and timely documentation
• Excellent patient education and motivational coaching skills
• Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
