Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide skilled outpatient physical therapy care to adults and older adults, using evidence-based interventions
- Evaluate patient function, develop individualized treatment plans, and track measurable outcomes
- Deliver hands-on manual therapy, therapeutic exercise, gait training, and functional retraining
- Educate patients and caregivers on home exercise programs, safety, and injury prevention
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to ensure coordinated, high-quality care
- Document patient progress promptly and accurately in the electronic health record
- Adapt treatment plans for a split-site caseload between Parkersburg and Willows to meet patient needs
Qualifications
- Current, unrestricted Physical Therapist license in West Virginia (required)
- Graduation from an accredited Physical Therapy program, DPT preferred
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required or obtained shortly after hire
- Prior outpatient experience preferred, but motivated new grads with strong clinical skills are welcome
- Comfort managing a split-site assignment and reliable transportation for travel between sites
- Ability to pass background check and meet employer immunization requirements
Education
- Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) preferred; Master's or Bachelor's in Physical Therapy considered where applicable
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong assessment and differential diagnosis skills in musculoskeletal and functional impairments
- Proficiency with therapeutic exercise prescription and manual therapy techniques
- Excellent communication skills for patient education and team collaboration
- Familiarity with outcome measures and documentation best practices
- Time management and organizational skills to manage caseload across two sites
