Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, resident-centered nursing care every shift
- Administer medications and treatments accurately and document thoroughly
- Monitor and record vital signs, changes in condition, and report concerns promptly
- Assist residents with activities of daily living while promoting independence
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to create and follow care plans
- Support infection control practices and maintain a safe care environment
- Maintain clear, timely documentation in resident records
Qualifications
- Active Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in North Carolina — required
- Current BLS/CPR certification — required
- Minimum of 1 year of LPN experience preferred (long-term care or similar a plus)
- Ability to pass background check and required health screenings
- Strong communication and teamwork skills; dependable and resident-focused
Education
- Practical Nursing diploma or equivalent (required)
- High school diploma or GED
Knowledge & Skills
- Medication administration and documentation
- Basic wound care and monitoring
- Familiarity with electronic or paper nursing documentation
- Vital signs assessment and clinical observation skills
- Time management and prioritization during busy shifts
