Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate direct care to residents, assisting with activities of daily living
- Take and report vital signs and communicate changes to the nursing team
- Support safe transfers and mobility to maintain resident independence
- Maintain accurate documentation and follow facility policies
- Follow infection control practices to protect residents and staff
- Work collaboratively with nurses and interdisciplinary team to deliver high-quality care
Qualifications
- Current CNA certification valid in North Carolina
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Current CPR/BLS certification preferred
- Ability to pass background check and drug screen
- Up-to-date immunizations and TB screening as required by facility
- Reliable, team-oriented attitude with strong communication skills
Education
- High school diploma or GED; completion of an accredited CNA program
Knowledge & Skills
- Hands-on resident care and ADL assistance
- Basic vital sign measurement and reporting
- Safe patient handling and transfer techniques
- Infection prevention and control practices
- Clear, compassionate communication with residents and families
- Basic documentation and electronic charting familiarity
