Roles & Responsibilities

• Assess patients' functional abilities and design meaningful, goal-driven treatment plans
• Deliver skilled occupational therapy interventions that improve independence and quality of life
• Collaborate with nurses, therapists, and families to ensure coordinated care
• Document progress clearly and timely, using facility systems and best practices
• Educate patients and caregivers on adaptive strategies, home programs, and durable medical equipment
• Participate in team meetings and contribute to discharge planning to support safe transitions

Qualifications

• Current Occupational Therapist license in Maine or compact/state eligibility to obtain licensure quickly
• NBCOT certification preferred or in progress
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification
• Previous experience in skilled nursing, long-term care, or similar setting preferred
• Excellent clinical reasoning, communication, and documentation skills
• Ability to start on assignment dates listed (01-26-2026 through 04-25-2026)

Education

• Entry-level Master's (MS/MA) in Occupational Therapy or OTD required
• Bachelor's degree with entry-level master's or higher accepted if credentialed

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in ADL/IADL assessment and adaptive equipment recommendations
• Knowledge of therapeutic modalities and activity-based interventions
• Strong patient-centered care approach with goal-setting and progress measurement
• Comfortable working within interdisciplinary teams and using electronic health records
• Good time management and caseload prioritization skills
