Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care during overnight hours
- Assess, monitor, and document patient conditions and communicate changes promptly
- Administer medications and treatments safely and according to policy
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to coordinate care plans
- Perform admissions, discharges, and thorough handoffs to ensure continuity
- Support patient and family education with clear, empathetic communication
- Maintain accurate, timely charting and comply with facility policies and standards
Qualifications
- Active RN or LPN license in New Mexico (required)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; ACLS preferred for RNs
- Recent clinical experience in medical-surgical or similar inpatient settings preferred
- Comfortable with overnight staffing rhythms and independent decision-making
- Ability to pass background checks and meet facility onboarding requirements
Education
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ADN, Diploma or BSN)
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong assessment and clinical judgment skills
- Medication administration and IV care (as applicable by license)
- Patient documentation and electronic health record familiarity
- Excellent communication and teamwork during night shift operations
- Time management and prioritization in a fast-paced environment
