Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate direct care to residents, including bathing, dressing, and mobility assistance
• Perform routine vital signs and document changes in resident status accurately
• Assist nursing staff with ADLs and follow individualized care plans
• Maintain a safe, clean environment and report safety concerns promptly
• Communicate clearly and kindly with residents, families, and the care team
• Support rehabilitation activities and encourage resident independence

Qualifications

• Current CNA certification (T-CNA acceptable) and active status in New Mexico
• Minimum clinical experience preferred but new grads with strong references are welcome
• Current CPR/BLS certification or willingness to obtain
• Up-to-date immunizations and TB test per facility policy
• Ability to pass background check and drug screening
• Professional, patient-focused attitude and strong teamwork skills

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent; completion of an accredited CNA program

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in resident personal care and safe transfer techniques
• Comfortable taking and recording vital signs accurately
• Knowledge of infection control and basic wound care principles
• Strong communication, observation, and documentation skills
• Ability to follow care plans and escalate changes to nursing staff
