Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate 1:1 nursing care to a middle school male student
- Administer G-tube feedings and manage enteral nutrition safely
- Support mobility using Hoyer lift and ensure safe transfers
- Perform total dependent care and assist with daily living tasks
- Coordinate student transport needs and communicate with school staff and bus drivers
- Document care accurately and maintain clear communication with family and school team
- Follow care plan, report changes in condition, and escalate concerns promptly
Qualifications
- Current LPN or RN license in Washington (LPN or RN candidates encouraged)
- Experience with pediatric or school nursing preferred
- Comfortable and experienced with G-tube feedings and Hoyer lifts
- Valid BLS/CPR certification
- Ability to pass background check and required school clearances
- Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with educators and family
Education
- Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Registered Nurse (RN) — active Washington license preferred
Knowledge & Skills
- Pediatric and school-based nursing practices
- Enteral feeding (G-tube) management
- Safe Hoyer lift operation and patient transfers
- Medication administration and basic nursing procedures
- Accurate documentation and electronic charting
- Calm, patient-centered approach to one-on-one care
