Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care on the day shift
- Administer medications and treatments accurately and safely
- Assess patients regularly and communicate changes to the care team
- Document care thoroughly in the electronic health record
- Collaborate with nursing staff and interdisciplinary team to deliver coordinated care
- Support patients and families with education and emotional support
Qualifications
- Active RN or LPN license in Maryland (RN preferred)
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required
- Experience in long-term care or similar settings preferred
- Strong communication skills and ability to work well in a team
- Ability to pass background check and meet facility onboarding requirements
Education
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program (LPN diploma or ADN/BSN for RN)
Knowledge & Skills
- Medication administration and documentation best practices
- Basic assessment and monitoring of adult patients
- Familiarity with electronic health record systems
- Infection control and safety procedures
- Time management and prioritization during busy shifts
