Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, hands-on nursing care to residents and patients
- Administer medications and treatments accurately and on schedule
- Perform regular assessments and document changes in condition clearly
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to create and follow care plans
- Support resident comfort and dignity, including assistance with activities of daily living
- Communicate effectively with families and providers to ensure continuity of care
- Follow facility policies and maintain standards for infection control and safety
Qualifications
- Valid LPN or RN license in Maryland required
- Current BLS/CPR certification required
- Previous long-term care or facility experience preferred but new grads welcome to apply
- Strong clinical judgment, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills
- Ability to pass background checks and meet facility onboarding requirements
Education
- Graduation from an accredited LPN or RN nursing program
- Associate degree or diploma for LPNs; ADN or BSN for RNs as applicable
Knowledge & Skills
- Medication administration and documentation best practices
- Patient assessment and vital sign monitoring
- Experience with electronic medical records and charting
- Basic wound care and infection control procedures
- Team collaboration and effective communication with care staff
- Time management and prioritization in a busy clinical setting
