Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, safe, and skilled nursing care to residents during the night shift
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and document per facility policy
• Monitor resident condition, assess changes, and escalate concerns to the care team
• Complete timely and accurate charting in the electronic medical record
• Support resident comfort and safety, including fall prevention and bedside care
• Collaborate with nursing staff and interdisciplinary team to deliver coordinated care
• Participate in shift handoffs and communicate critical information clearly

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in Maryland required
• Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required
• Long-term care or med-pass experience preferred but new grads with great clinical instincts are welcome
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work a night schedule
• Ability to pass background check and meet facility onboarding requirements

Education

• LPN: Completed LPN diploma or certificate
• RN: ADN or BSN from an accredited nursing program

Knowledge & Skills

• Medication administration and documentation skills
• Comfortable with electronic medical records and timely charting
• Strong assessment skills and the ability to prioritize care
• Good communication with residents, families, and care teams
• Infection control practices and resident safety focus
• Compassionate bedside manner and resilience during night shifts
