Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care during the evening into late shift hours
• Perform thorough assessments, monitor patient status, and document changes accurately
• Administer medications and treatments safely and in accordance with policy
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to develop and follow care plans
• Respond to patient and family concerns with professionalism and empathy
• Ensure accurate handoffs and clear communication during shift changes
• Maintain compliance with facility protocols, safety standards, and infection control

Qualifications

• Active Maryland RN or LPN license (must be in good standing)
• Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
• At least some prior clinical nursing experience preferred; long-term care or med-surg experience a plus
• Up-to-date immunizations and TB screening per facility policy
• Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively on an evening/night team
• Reliable, professional, and patient-focused attitude

Education

• Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) diploma or Registered Nurse (RN) diploma/associate/BSN as required by licensure

Knowledge & Skills

• Patient assessment and clinical judgment
• Medication administration and documentation best practices
• Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) or willingness to learn
• Basic wound care and IV/line management as applicable
• Ability to prioritize tasks during a busy night shift
• Strong teamwork, bedside manner, and time management
