Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, hands-on nursing care to residents with dignity and respect
- Administer medications and treatments accurately and on schedule
- Perform focused assessments and monitor vital signs for changes in condition
- Document care clearly and promptly in the patient record
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to develop and follow care plans
- Educate residents and families about care plans, medications, and safety
- Maintain a safe, clean environment and follow facility policies and regulations
Qualifications
- Active LPN or RN license (Maryland) or compact license eligible—must be in good standing
- Current BLS/CPR certification required
- Previous long-term care or skilled nursing experience preferred but we welcome motivated candidates at all levels
- Excellent communication skills and a teamwork mindset
- Ability to pass required background checks and health screenings
Education
- LPN: Practical Nursing diploma or certificate
- RN: Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong clinical assessment and medication administration skills
- Comfortable with electronic charting and clear documentation
- Ability to prioritize tasks in a busy care setting
- Good interpersonal skills for working with residents, families, and the care team
- Basic wound care, ADL assistance, and safety monitoring experience
