Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care to residents in a long term care setting
• Perform thorough assessments, document findings, and update care plans to keep care coordinated
• Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately in line with facility policies
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to promote resident comfort and recovery
• Monitor and report changes in condition promptly to ensure timely interventions
• Support resident and family education with clarity and empathy
• Maintain accurate, timely electronic and paper documentation with attention to detail

Qualifications

• Active LPN or RN license in Maryland required
• Current BLS/CPR certification required
• Previous experience in long term care, skilled nursing, or similar setting preferred (1+ year recommended)
• Up-to-date immunizations and ability to pass background and health screenings
• Strong communication skills and a patient-first attitude

Education

• Graduate of an accredited LPN or RN nursing program

• Clinical assessment and vital sign monitoring
• Medication administration and documentation
• Wound care basics and pressure injury prevention
• Care planning and interdisciplinary collaboration
• Infection control and resident safety practices
• Comfort with electronic health record systems and accurate charting
