Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, high-quality nursing care to residents at Larkin Chase Center
- Administer medications and treatments accurately and safely
- Perform thorough patient assessments and report changes promptly
- Document care clearly and timely in the electronic health record
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to create effective care plans
- Support residents with activities of daily living and promote independence
- Participate in shift handoffs and communicate critical information to the team
Qualifications
- Active LPN or RN license in Maryland required
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
- Previous experience in long-term care, skilled nursing, or similar setting preferred
- Strong clinical assessment and medication administration skills
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
- Ability to pass background checks and meet facility onboarding requirements
Education
- LPN: Accredited practical nursing diploma or certificate
- RN: Associate or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (ADN/BSN)
Knowledge & Skills
- Medication administration and documentation best practices
- Patient assessment and care planning
- Familiarity with electronic health record systems
- Infection control and safety procedures
- Time management and prioritization in a fast-paced clinical setting
- Compassionate resident-centered care approach
