Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, evidence-based nursing care to patients at Larkin Chase Center
• Administer medications and treatments safely and document thoroughly
• Perform accurate assessments, monitor changes, and escalate concerns promptly
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to create and follow patient-centered care plans
• Support residents and families with clear communication and a caring approach
• Maintain accurate charts and comply with facility and regulatory documentation standards

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in Maryland
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required; additional certifications welcomed
• Clinical experience in long-term care, skilled nursing, or similar settings preferred
• Strong communication skills, reliable clinical judgment, and a team-first attitude
• Ability to pass required background checks and meet facility onboarding requirements

Education

• LPN: Completion of an accredited Practical Nursing program
• RN: Diploma, ADN, or BSN from an accredited nursing program

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in medication administration and resident-centered care
• Comfortable with vital signs, ADL assistance, and routine nursing assessments
• Good charting and documentation practices; attention to detail
• Infection control, wound care basics, and safe patient handling
• Collaborative teamwork, clear communication, and time management
