Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, high-quality patient care during the evening/night shift
- Assess patient conditions, document findings, and communicate changes to the care team
- Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately
- Collaborate with nursing staff and interdisciplinary team members to create and carry out care plans
- Support residents and families with clear, respectful communication
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation and adhere to facility policies
Qualifications
- Active RN license in Maryland (or LPN license if applying as LPN)
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required
- Previous experience in long-term care or skilled nursing preferred
- Comfortable working the 3:00 PM - 11:30 PM shift and handling typical nursing duties independently
- Clean background check and required immunizations
Education
- RN: Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
- LPN: Graduate of an accredited Practical Nursing program
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong clinical assessment and medication administration skills
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
- Familiarity with electronic charting and documentation best practices
- Ability to prioritize, multitask, and respond calmly in urgent situations
- Person-centered approach and respect for resident dignity
