Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care to residents during the assigned shift
- Assess resident condition and document changes in status clearly and promptly
- Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately according to policy
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to support care plans and positive outcomes
- Educate residents and families about care plans, medications, and follow-up needs
- Respond quickly and professionally to resident needs and emergent situations
Qualifications
- Active RN or LPN license in Maryland (must have license prior to assignment)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from American Heart Association or equivalent
- Current immunizations and required health screenings per facility policy
- Previous experience in long-term care, skilled nursing, or similar clinical setting preferred
- Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively on night shift
Education
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ADN, BSN, or Nursing Diploma for RN; Practical Nursing Diploma for LPN)
Knowledge & Skills
- Clinical assessment and bedside nursing skills
- Medication administration and documentation
- Familiarity with long-term care workflows and compliance best practices
- Good time management and ability to prioritize in a fast-paced shift
- Team collaboration and clear, professional communication
