Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care for residents in a long-term care setting
- Perform thorough assessments and document changes in condition clearly and promptly
- Administer medications and treatments safely, following provider orders and facility protocols
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to develop and update individualized care plans
- Communicate effectively with residents and families to ensure comfort, dignity, and understanding
- Respond to clinical changes and emergencies with calm, skilled action
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation in the facility record system
Qualifications
- Current, active Maryland RN or LPN license required
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; ACLS preferred for RN roles
- Ability to pass background check, drug screen, and facility onboarding requirements
- Comfortable working in a skilled nursing/long-term care environment
- Preferred: 1+ year of recent nursing experience in long-term care, skilled nursing, or similar
Education
- LPN: Nursing diploma or Associate degree (as required for licensure)
- RN: Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
- Medication administration and wound care experience
- Clear, professional communication and teamwork
- Documentation and charting proficiency, basic familiarity with EHRs
- Time management and ability to prioritize resident needs
