Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, safe nursing care to residents assigned to you
- Perform patient assessments, monitor vital signs, and document findings accurately
- Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders and facility policy
- Collaborate with the care team to create and update individualized care plans
- Respond promptly to resident needs and emergencies with calm, competent action
- Maintain accurate and timely electronic health record documentation
- Support infection control and safety protocols to protect residents and staff
Qualifications
- Active LPN or RN license in Maryland required
- BLS/CPR certification required; ACLS preferred for RNs
- Current immunizations and TB screening per facility policy
- Previous long-term care or skilled nursing experience preferred
- Strong communication skills and ability to work nights
- Reliable, professional, and able to pass background and drug screening
Education
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program; LPN or RN diploma/degree as applicable
Knowledge & Skills
- Medication administration and documentation
- Resident assessment and care planning
- Vital signs monitoring and basic clinical skills
- Electronic health record (EHR) documentation
- Time management, teamwork, and interpersonal communication
- Basic wound care and infection prevention practices
