Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, high-quality nursing care to residents at Larkin Chase Center
- Perform assessments, administer medications and document care accurately
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to create and update care plans
- Monitor resident conditions and escalate concerns promptly to ensure safety
- Educate residents and families about care plans, medications and routines
- Support a positive, resident-centered environment and mentor junior staff
Qualifications
- Active RN or LPN license in Maryland (must be current and in good standing)
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required; ACLS preferred where applicable
- Previous experience in skilled nursing, long-term care or related setting preferred
- Current immunizations and TB screening per facility policy
- Reliable, professional, and great at teamwork and resident communication
Education
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Nursing Diploma required for RNs
- BSN preferred but not required
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong clinical assessment and medication administration skills
- Familiarity with electronic medical records and accurate charting
- Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced care setting
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with residents and families
- Understanding of infection control practices and safety protocols
