Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, resident-centered nursing care in a long term care setting
- Administer medications and treatments accurately and document in the medical record
- Assess resident conditions, monitor changes, and escalate concerns promptly
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to create and follow care plans
- Support residents and families with clear, respectful communication
- Maintain regulatory and facility documentation to ensure high-quality care
Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in Maryland
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required
- Experience working in long term care, skilled nursing, or similar setting preferred
- Strong clinical assessment, medication administration, and documentation skills
- Reliable, professional, and team-oriented attitude
Education
- LPN: Nursing Diploma or ADN required
- RN: ADN or BSN required; BSN preferred
Knowledge & Skills
- Medication administration and IV/SC basics as applicable
- Wound care and basic restorative nursing skills
- Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) and charting
- Excellent communication and resident advocacy skills
- Ability to prioritize, multitask, and respond to clinical changes
