Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide safe, compassionate nursing care to residents during the evening/night shift
- Perform thorough patient assessments and document changes in condition clearly
- Administer medications and treatments accurately and on time
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to create and follow care plans
- Respond promptly to patient needs and emergent situations with calm professionalism
- Educate patients and families with clear, respectful communication
- Maintain accurate charting in the facility’s electronic health record
Qualifications
- Active, unencumbered RN or LPN license for Maryland (choose the appropriate license to apply)
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required
- Previous experience in long-term care or similar setting preferred but not required
- Comfort with evening/night shift routines and strong observational skills
- Able to pass background check and drug screening
Education
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program (LPN or RN as applicable)
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong patient assessment and clinical judgment
- Medication administration and documentation best practices
- Comfortable with electronic charting / EHR systems
- Infection control and safety procedures
- Clear communication and teamwork skills
- Time management and prioritization during busy shifts
