Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform accurate patient monitoring throughout EP and cath procedures to maintain safety and quality
• Set up and verify procedural equipment and sterile fields to support efficient, complication-free cases
• Place EKG leads and assist with rhythm monitoring and recognition of life-threatening arrhythmias
• Assist physicians during electrophysiology studies, ablations, device implants, and related interventions
• Support vascular procedures such as angiography, stent placement, thrombectomy, and structural heart cases when needed
• Chart patient care and procedure details in Epic promptly and thoroughly
• Follow infection control and sterile technique standards to protect patients and team members
• Float to Cath Lab as needed within scope to meet facility needs and maintain coverage

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of relevant EP/Cath Lab experience
• Required certifications: BLS and ACLS
• ARRT (R) or RCES credential preferred/accepted as indicated in the posting
• Comfortable with on-call requirements: 3 nights/week (2 hours/night) and every 4th weekend on call
• First-time travelers welcome; candidate permanent address must be at least 50 miles from the facility
• Ability to chart in Epic and familiarity with McKesson in cath lab workflows is a plus

Knowledge & Skills

• Sterile technique and infection control best practices
• Accurate hemodynamic and rhythm monitoring
• EKG lead placement and rhythm interpretation
• Equipment setup and troubleshooting for EP and cath lab procedures
• Experience with Philips X-Ray systems and a variety of atherectomy and thrombectomy devices is a plus
• Familiarity with Impella, temporary LVAD support, and structural heart procedures
• Comfortable supporting electrophysiology studies, cardiac mapping, ablations, and device implants
• Charting proficiency in Epic and basic workflow knowledge of McKesson
