Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate hands-on care to residents with dignity and respect
- Assist with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, and mobility
- Monitor and report changes in resident condition to nursing staff promptly
- Support feeding, positioning, and toileting needs safely and professionally
- Document care provided accurately and communicate effectively with the care team
- Create meaningful, positive interactions to support resident wellbeing
Qualifications
- Active GNA/CNA certification or state-equivalent required
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification preferred or willing to obtain
- Prior experience in long-term care or skilled nursing is a plus
- Proof of vaccinations and ability to pass background checks
- Friendly, patient, and team-oriented with strong communication skills
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent; GNA/CNA certification required
Knowledge & Skills
- Understanding of basic resident care and infection control practices
- Safe patient handling and mobility assistance techniques
- Basic charting and documentation skills
- Ability to follow care plans and take direction from licensed nurses
- Strong observation skills and the ability to escalate concerns
- Compassionate bedside manner and effective interpersonal skills
