Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, evidence-based nursing care to adult patients on assigned units
• Perform comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized care plans
• Administer medications and IV therapies accurately and safely
• Monitor patient status, recognize changes, and escalate concerns promptly
• Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and the care team to optimize outcomes
• Document interventions and patient responses clearly in the chart
• Educate patients and families about conditions, treatments, and discharge plans

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Maryland (must have or be eligible)
• Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required
• Experience in acute care or medical-surgical settings preferred
• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
• Reliable, professional, and patient-focused attitude

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) — BSN preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficient in medication administration and IV therapy
• Skilled at patient assessment, wound care, and care planning
• Comfortable with electronic health record documentation
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to prioritize and manage a dynamic patient load
