Roles & Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain operating rooms for surgical procedures
• Sterilize and arrange surgical instruments and equipment
• Assist surgeons and nurses during operations by passing instruments and supplies
• Maintain a sterile field and ensure strict adherence to safety protocols
• Anticipate the needs of the surgical team to ensure smooth procedures
• Collaborate with the entire surgical team to provide exceptional patient care

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited surgical technology program
• Current Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) certification preferred
• BLS certification required (American Heart Association)
• Previous experience in a surgical setting is a plus
• Ability to work flexible per diem shifts as needed

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong knowledge of surgical instrumentation and sterile technique
• Ability to stay calm and focused in high-pressure situations
• Excellent attention to detail
• Great communication and teamwork skills
• Understanding of surgical procedures and aseptic practices
