Roles & Responsibilities

• Prepare the operating room with sterile supplies and surgical instruments
• Pass instruments and supplies to the surgical team during procedures
• Maintain a sterile field and follow infection control standards
• Anticipate the needs of the surgeon and surgical team
• Assist with patient positioning, draping, and transportation
• Collaborate with nurses, anesthesiologists, and other staff to ensure smooth operations

Qualifications

• Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) preferred
• Current BLS certification
• Prior experience as a surgical tech in an operating room setting
• Strong knowledge of aseptic technique and sterile processing
• Ability to work flexible per-diem shifts

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of surgical instrumentation and equipment
• Understanding of sterile technique and infection prevention
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to anticipate surgeon and patient needs
• Strong attention to detail in fast-paced environments
