Speech Language Pathologist - Per Diem
Location: St. Louis, Missouri
Start Date: 08-19-2026
Contract Type: Per-Diem
Shift Type: Per Diem, as needed - 8.5-hour shifts
Hours per Week: 40
Candidate Pay Rate: $27 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Assess and treat patients with speech, language, and swallowing disorders
- Develop personalized treatment plans that help patients reach communication milestones
- Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team of therapists, nurses, and physicians
- Educate families and caregivers on strategies to support progress at home
- Document patient progress accurately and adjust care plans as needed
- Advocate for each patient's communication and swallowing needs with compassion
Qualifications
- Current Missouri Speech-Language Pathology license or eligibility to obtain one
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA is preferred
- Experience in a hospital or pediatric setting is a plus
- Current BLS/CPR certification
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Knowledge & Skills
- Knowledge of augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) devices
- Expertise in pediatric feeding and swallowing therapy
- Comfort with electronic medical records and documentation
- Excellent clinical reasoning and assessment skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
