Roles & Responsibilities

• Assess and treat patients with speech, language, and swallowing disorders
• Develop personalized treatment plans that help patients reach communication milestones
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team of therapists, nurses, and physicians
• Educate families and caregivers on strategies to support progress at home
• Document patient progress accurately and adjust care plans as needed
• Advocate for each patient's communication and swallowing needs with compassion

Qualifications

• Current Missouri Speech-Language Pathology license or eligibility to obtain one
• Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA is preferred
• Experience in a hospital or pediatric setting is a plus
• Current BLS/CPR certification
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) devices
• Expertise in pediatric feeding and swallowing therapy
• Comfort with electronic medical records and documentation
• Excellent clinical reasoning and assessment skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
