Speech Language Pathologist - Per Diem
Location: Portland, Oregon
Start Date: 08-19-2026
Contract Type: Per-Diem
Shift Type: As needed - flexible shifts, 12.5 hours per shift, including weekends as needed
Hours per Week: 36
Candidate Pay Rate: $34 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive speech, language, and swallowing assessments for pediatric patients
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to meet each patient's unique goals
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other therapists to ensure holistic care
- Document patient progress accurately and adjust therapy approaches as needed
- Educate families and caregivers on strategies to support communication and feeding at home
- Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings to coordinate optimal patient outcomes
Qualifications
- Current Oregon Speech-Language Pathology license or eligibility to obtain one
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred
- Experience working with pediatric populations is a plus
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
- Strong clinical reasoning and communication skills
Knowledge & Skills
- Knowledge of pediatric speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing disorders
- Familiarity with evidence-based assessment tools and therapeutic interventions
- Excellent documentation and time-management skills
- Compassionate and patient-centered approach
- Ability to adapt quickly to changing patient needs and schedules
