Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $34 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Provide compassionate, evidence-based speech and language therapy to pediatric patients
  • Evaluate and treat communication, feeding, and swallowing disorders
  • Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to create individualized care plans
  • Maintain clear, thorough documentation of evaluations and progress
  • Educate patients and families to support therapy goals at home
  • Adapt sessions to meet each child’s unique developmental needs

Qualifications

  • Current Oregon Speech-Language Pathologist license
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA preferred
  • Experience with pediatric populations in a hospital or clinical setting
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Current CPR/BLS certification
  • Ability to work independently and as a valued team member

Knowledge & Skills

  • In-depth knowledge of speech, language, and swallowing disorders
  • Familiarity with augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) systems
  • Understanding of pediatric development and family-centered care
  • Proficiency with electronic medical records (EMR)
  • Excellent clinical documentation skills
  • Effective communication with children, families, and colleagues
