Roles & Responsibilities

• Evaluate and provide evidence-based therapy for pediatric patients with communication, swallowing, and cognitive-communication disorders
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in collaboration with families and the care team
• Document patient progress accurately and maintain compliance with facility standards
• Educate patients and families on therapeutic techniques and home programs
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to support optimal patient outcomes
• Adapt to a variety of patient needs and clinical settings within the hospital

Qualifications

• Current Oregon Speech-Language Pathologist licensure or eligibility required
• ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) strongly preferred
• Prior pediatric or hospital-based experience preferred
• Current BLS/CPR certification required
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of pediatric speech, language, and swallowing disorders
• Familiarity with augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) is a plus
• Strong clinical documentation and time-management skills
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced clinical environment
• Compassionate, patient-centered approach to care
