Speech Language Pathologist - Per Diem
Location: Portland, Oregon
Start Date: 08-14-2026
Contract Type: Per-Diem
Shift Type: Per diem, flexible shifts, 8.5-hour shifts (Shift Type: SPT), no guaranteed schedule
Candidate Pay Rate: $34 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Evaluate and provide evidence-based therapy for pediatric patients with communication, swallowing, and cognitive-communication disorders
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in collaboration with families and the care team
- Document patient progress accurately and maintain compliance with facility standards
- Educate patients and families on therapeutic techniques and home programs
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to support optimal patient outcomes
- Adapt to a variety of patient needs and clinical settings within the hospital
Qualifications
- Current Oregon Speech-Language Pathologist licensure or eligibility required
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) strongly preferred
- Prior pediatric or hospital-based experience preferred
- Current BLS/CPR certification required
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Knowledge & Skills
- Knowledge of pediatric speech, language, and swallowing disorders
- Familiarity with augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) is a plus
- Strong clinical documentation and time-management skills
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced clinical environment
- Compassionate, patient-centered approach to care
