Roles & Responsibilities

• Prepare pediatric patients and their families for surgery with compassionate, developmentally appropriate care
• Assess patients' medical history, vital signs, and readiness for procedures
• Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure a smooth pre-operative workflow
• Educate parents and children about the surgical process and what to expect
• Maintain accurate patient records and ensure compliance with safety protocols
• Advocate for patient comfort and emotional well-being before surgery

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Massachusetts
• BLS certification required
• Pediatric experience strongly preferred
• Previous pre-op or perioperative experience is a plus
• Excellent assessment and critical thinking skills
• Compassionate approach to caring for children and their families
