Contract Type: Per-Diem
Shift Type: Per diem, flexible 6-hour shifts, scheduling varies (hours not guaranteed)
Candidate Pay Rate: $63 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Prepare pediatric patients and their families for surgery with compassionate, developmentally appropriate care
- Assess patients' medical history, vital signs, and readiness for procedures
- Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure a smooth pre-operative workflow
- Educate parents and children about the surgical process and what to expect
- Maintain accurate patient records and ensure compliance with safety protocols
- Advocate for patient comfort and emotional well-being before surgery
Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Massachusetts
- BLS certification required
- Pediatric experience strongly preferred
- Previous pre-op or perioperative experience is a plus
- Excellent assessment and critical thinking skills
- Compassionate approach to caring for children and their families
