Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate post-anesthesia care to pediatric patients
• Monitor vital signs and assess recovery from anesthesia
• Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure safe patient transitions
• Educate families on post-operative care and discharge instructions
• Document patient progress accurately and promptly
• Advocate for patient comfort, safety, and dignity throughout recovery

Qualifications

• Current RN license in Washington or a compact state
• BLS certification required
• PALS certification required
• Experience in PACU, critical care, or pediatrics preferred
• Strong assessment and critical thinking skills
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of pediatric post-anesthesia care protocols
• Proficiency with electronic health records
• Understanding of anesthesia recovery and pain management
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Compassionate, patient-centered approach to care
