Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide specialized nursing care to pediatric patients recovering from anesthesia
• Monitor vital signs and assess patients' post-operative status
• Manage pain and administer medications as ordered
• Collaborate with the care team to ensure smooth recovery and discharge
• Educate families on post-anesthesia care and recovery expectations
• Respond quickly to changes in patient condition and escalate as needed

Qualifications

• Active RN license in Washington State
• Current BLS certification required
• PALS certification highly preferred
• Previous PACU, critical care, or pediatric nursing experience preferred
• Strong assessment and critical thinking skills

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of pediatric anesthesia recovery protocols
• Proficiency in vital sign monitoring and pain management
• Ability to prioritize and multitask in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent communication skills with patients, families, and team members
• Compassionate, patient-centered approach to care
