Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, specialized nursing care to pediatric patients in the operating room
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and surgical teams to ensure safe, efficient procedures
• Prepare and maintain sterile fields, instruments, and equipment
• Monitor patients throughout the perioperative process and respond quickly to changes
• Support patients and families with education and reassurance before and after surgery
• Maintain accurate documentation and uphold the highest safety standards

Qualifications

• Current RN license in Washington or a compact state
• BLS/CPR certification required
• Experience in perioperative nursing, ideally with pediatric patients
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to adapt quickly to varying assignments and patient needs

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of surgical asepsis and sterile technique
• Understanding of pediatric patient care principles
• Familiarity with operating room equipment and instrumentation
• Critical thinking and quick decision-making under pressure
• Excellent interpersonal and documentation skills
