Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, family-centered care to pediatric Med/Surg patients
• Assess, plan, and implement nursing care for children with medical and surgical needs
• Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately
• Monitor patient status and communicate changes to the healthcare team
• Educate patients and families about care plans and discharge instructions
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to achieve the best outcomes
• Document patient care thoroughly and maintain accurate records
• Create a comforting, healing environment for children and their families

Qualifications

• Active Pennsylvania RN license
• Current BLS certification (American Heart Association or equivalent)
• Previous Med/Surg or pediatric nursing experience preferred
• PALS certification a plus
• Strong assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills
• Compassionate, patient-centered approach to care

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of pediatric growth, development, and family dynamics
• Skilled in medication administration, IV therapy, and patient monitoring
• Strong clinical documentation and EHR proficiency
• Ability to prioritize care and adapt in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent communication with children, families, and team members
• Commitment to patient safety and quality improvement
