Roles & Responsibilities

• Deliver compassionate, high-quality emergency nursing care to patients of all ages
• Assess, triage, and prioritize patients based on acuity in a busy ED/ER setting
• Administer medications, treatments, and interventions with accuracy and confidence
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and allied health professionals to create effective care plans
• Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes in a timely manner
• Provide emotional support and education to patients and families during stressful moments

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Louisiana or a compact state
• Current BLS certification; ACLS and PALS preferred
• Emergency department experience strongly preferred
• Ability to stay calm and make quick decisions in high-pressure situations
• Strong critical thinking, communication, and teamwork skills

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of emergency nursing principles, triage protocols, and patient stabilization
• Skilled in IV insertion, medication administration, and cardiac monitoring
• Comfortable using electronic health records and emergency medical equipment
• Excellent interpersonal and patient teaching abilities
• Ability to maintain empathy and professionalism in crisis situations
