Roles & Responsibilities

• Assess, evaluate, and treat patients with respiratory and cardiopulmonary conditions
• Administer respiratory therapies, including oxygen, aerosol medications, and mechanical ventilation
• Monitor patient response to treatment and adjust care plans as needed
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and the care team to deliver comprehensive patient care
• Document patient assessments and interventions accurately and in a timely manner
• Provide education and support to patients and families regarding respiratory care

Qualifications

• Active Oregon Respiratory Therapist licensure or eligibility to obtain prior to start
• CRT or RRT credential through the NBRC
• BLS certification required; ACLS or PALS preferred
• Hospital or clinical experience preferred, but new graduates are welcome to apply
• Strong critical thinking and patient assessment skills

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of respiratory care equipment and modalities
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Comfortable with electronic health records
• CPR and BLS certified
