Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, high-quality respiratory care to pediatric patients
• Assess and monitor patients' respiratory status and respond to changes
• Administer respiratory therapies including oxygen, aerosol treatments, and ventilation support
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and the care team to create effective treatment plans
• Educate patients and families on respiratory conditions and home care techniques
• Maintain accurate documentation and ensure a safe, healing environment

Qualifications

• Active Washington State Respiratory Therapist license
• RRT or CRT certification
• Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association
• Previous pediatric respiratory therapy experience is a plus
• Strong assessment, communication, and teamwork skills
• A compassionate, patient-centered approach to care

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of respiratory therapy procedures and equipment
• Understanding of pediatric respiratory conditions and treatments
• Ability to think quickly and adapt in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent communication and patient education skills
• Comfort collaborating with an interdisciplinary team
• Proficiency with electronic health records and documentation
