Location: Portland, OR
Start Date: 08-18-2026
Contract Type: Per-Diem
Shift Type: Rotating 6-hour shifts, no scheduled break
Candidate Pay Rate: $54 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Assess respiratory status and implement comprehensive care plans for pediatric patients
- Administer respiratory treatments, including oxygen therapy, aerosol medications, and airway clearance
- Monitor patient responses and communicate changes to the care team in a timely manner
- Educate patients and families about respiratory conditions, equipment, and home care
- Document all care accurately and maintain a clean, safe environment
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other clinicians to optimize patient outcomes
Qualifications
- Active Oregon Respiratory Care Practitioner license
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) or Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) credential
- Current BLS certification; PALS strongly preferred
- Experience in pediatric or acute care respiratory therapy is a plus
- Excellent communication skills and a compassionate, patient-centered approach
Knowledge & Skills
- Solid understanding of respiratory therapy equipment, including ventilators and oxygen delivery systems
- Ability to assess and respond quickly in emergency situations
- Strong documentation and critical thinking skills
- Familiarity with infection control and safety protocols
- A collaborative spirit and adaptability in a dynamic pediatric environment
