Roles & Responsibilities

• Assess respiratory status and implement comprehensive care plans for pediatric patients
• Administer respiratory treatments, including oxygen therapy, aerosol medications, and airway clearance
• Monitor patient responses and communicate changes to the care team in a timely manner
• Educate patients and families about respiratory conditions, equipment, and home care
• Document all care accurately and maintain a clean, safe environment
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other clinicians to optimize patient outcomes

Qualifications

• Active Oregon Respiratory Care Practitioner license
• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) or Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) credential
• Current BLS certification; PALS strongly preferred
• Experience in pediatric or acute care respiratory therapy is a plus
• Excellent communication skills and a compassionate, patient-centered approach

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid understanding of respiratory therapy equipment, including ventilators and oxygen delivery systems
• Ability to assess and respond quickly in emergency situations
• Strong documentation and critical thinking skills
• Familiarity with infection control and safety protocols
• A collaborative spirit and adaptability in a dynamic pediatric environment
