Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate respiratory care to patients recovering from serious illness or injury
• Assess patient respiratory status and develop individualized care plans
• Administer respiratory treatments, medications, and oxygen therapy as ordered
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary rehab team to optimize patient outcomes
• Educate patients and families on respiratory management techniques

Qualifications

• Current Illinois Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license required
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association required
• Previous experience as a Respiratory Therapist preferred
• A passion for patient-centered care and teamwork

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of respiratory therapy modalities and equipment
• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to adapt to a fast-paced rehabilitation environment
