Roles & Responsibilities

• Deliver compassionate respiratory care to pediatric patients in a per diem capacity
• Assess, monitor, and document patients' respiratory status and response to treatments
• Administer oxygen therapy, aerosol treatments, and other respiratory modalities as ordered
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and the care team to optimize patient outcomes
• Educate patients and families on respiratory conditions and home care techniques
• Respond promptly to respiratory emergencies and code situations

Qualifications

• Active Respiratory Therapist (RT) license in the state of Ohio
• Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification; ACLS/PALS preferred
• Graduate of an accredited respiratory therapy program
• Previous pediatric or hospital respiratory care experience is a plus
• Ability to work flexible per diem shifts, including orientation and varied hours

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong knowledge of respiratory therapy procedures and equipment
• Excellent clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
• Effective communication and teamwork abilities
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced pediatric environment
• Detail-oriented documentation and patient recordkeeping
