Roles & Responsibilities

• Assess and monitor respiratory status for patients across the hospital
• Administer oxygen, aerosol, and breathing treatments as ordered
• Set up and manage mechanical ventilators, BiPAP, and CPAP
• Collaborate with physicians and nurses on patient care plans
• Educate patients and families on respiratory wellness
• Document every treatment accurately and thoroughly

Qualifications

• Current Georgia Respiratory Therapist (RT) license
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association
• ACLS certification preferred
• Graduate of an accredited respiratory therapy program
• Previous acute care or LTAC experience is a plus

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid understanding of respiratory therapy equipment and techniques
• Confident ventilator management and airway support skills
• Sharp critical thinking and quick adaptability
• Clear communication with patients, families, and teammates
• Efficient charting and time management
