Roles & Responsibilities

• Administer respiratory therapy treatments including oxygen therapy, nebulizer treatments, and airway management
• Assess and monitor patients' respiratory status, making recommendations for care plans
• Provide emergency respiratory support during critical situations and rapid response teams
• Educate patients and families on respiratory conditions and home care techniques
• Operate and maintain mechanical ventilators and other respiratory equipment
• Document patient assessments and treatment responses accurately

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited respiratory therapy program
• Active Virginia Respiratory Therapist license
• BLS certification (ACLS preferred)
• New graduates are welcome to apply
• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficiency with respiratory care equipment and therapeutic techniques
• Excellent communication and patient education skills
• Ability to remain calm and effective in high-pressure situations
• Detail-oriented with strong documentation practices
