Candidate Pay Rate: $51 - $35.7 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Take vital signs for patients
- Assist with medical procedures
- Act as a chaperone during exams
- Request medication prior authorizations
- Request authorizations and send out referrals
- Maintain knowledge of insurance in Kern County
Qualifications
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) certification
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Experience working in a medical office setting
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Post-secondary education or training in medical assisting preferred
Knowledge & Skills
- Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems, specifically Cerner
- Medical terminology and anatomy
- Insurance and authorization procedures
