Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate pre-operative care to pediatric patients and their families
• Assess and prepare patients for surgery, including vital signs and health history
• Coordinate with the surgical team to ensure a smooth and safe patient experience
• Educate patients and families on pre-operative procedures and what to expect
• Maintain accurate patient records and uphold patient safety standards

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Washington state
• Current BLS (CPR) certification
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification preferred
• Previous experience in pre-operative, perioperative, or pediatric nursing is a plus
• Strong communication and patient advocacy skills

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of pediatric assessment and care techniques
• Understanding of pre-operative protocols and surgical preparation
• Ability to remain calm and reassuring in a fast-paced environment
• Strong documentation and EHR skills
• Teamwork and collaboration in a multidisciplinary setting
