Contract Type: Per-Diem
Shift Type: Per diem shifts, 6 hours per shift, flexible scheduling
Candidate Pay Rate: $49 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough pre-operative assessments for pediatric patients in a compassionate, age-appropriate manner
- Develop and implement individualized nursing care plans to ensure each child's safety and comfort
- Administer medications and interventions as prescribed, monitoring patients closely before surgery
- Educate patients and families about surgical procedures, answering questions and easing anxieties
- Collaborate seamlessly with the surgical team to ensure a smooth and positive patient experience
- Maintain accurate documentation and uphold the highest standards of pediatric nursing care
Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Washington state
- BLS certification required; PALS certification strongly preferred
- Experience in pediatrics, pre-operative care, or surgical nursing is a plus
- A compassionate, patient-centered approach with excellent communication skills
- Ability to work flexible per diem shifts and adapt to changing patient needs
Knowledge & Skills
- Pediatric assessment and care techniques
- Pre-operative nursing protocols and patient preparation
- Medication administration and dosage calculations for children
- Strong patient and family education skills
- EHR documentation proficiency
- Calm and reassuring bedside manner
