Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate pre-op and post-op nursing care for patients undergoing Cath, EP and vascular procedures
• Monitor cardiac rhythms continuously and interpret 12-lead ECGs to detect and escalate changes swiftly
• Manage Phase I and Phase II anesthesia recovery, including MAC and conscious sedation support
• Perform airway assessments, start and maintain IVs, and carry out phlebotomy and blood product administration safely
• Deliver timely, accurate Epic charting and documentation to support seamless patient care
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams — respiratory, pharmacy, radiology and rapid response — to optimize outcomes
• Educate patients and families on discharge instructions, medication reconciliation and post-procedure expectations
• Recognize and manage dysrhythmias and emergency situations, initiating ACLS/BLS protocols as needed

Qualifications

• Active RN license eligible for practice in Ohio (ensure state requirements are met prior to start)
• Minimum 3 years of clinical nursing experience (documented)
• Current ACLS and BLS certifications required
• Epic charting experience required
• Experience with PACU/Phase I & II recovery, pre/post operative care, and cardiac monitoring preferred
• Comfort with a 1:3 patient ratio on day shifts
• Flu vaccine required (medical exemptions only); COVID-19 vaccine not required per facility guideline
• Travel experience NOT required — open to nurses new to travel assignments

Knowledge & Skills

• Phase I PACU & Phase II recovery clinical expertise
• Pre/post operative patient assessment and discharge planning
• Cardiac monitoring and dysrhythmia recognition/management
• 12-lead ECG acquisition and interpretation
• IV therapy, phlebotomy, and blood product administration
• Airway assessment and basic sedation support (MAC, conscious sedation)
• Familiarity with malignant hyperthermia protocol and emergency medication administration
• Strong communication, teamwork, and critical thinking in high-turnover ambulatory settings
