Roles & Responsibilities

• Deliver compassionate, family-centered care to critically ill pediatric patients in our state-of-the-art PICU
• Assess, monitor, and respond to changes in patient conditions with critical thinking and expertise
• Administer medications, treatments, and interventions with precision and a gentle touch
• Partner with a collaborative team of physicians, respiratory therapists, and specialists to create the best care plans
• Educate and support families through their child's journey, providing comfort and clarity
• Document and advocate for each patient's unique needs, ensuring every voice is heard

Qualifications

• Active RN license in Ohio or compact state
• Current BLS certification required
• Current PALS certification required
• Experience in pediatric or critical care nursing preferred; strong clinical skills a must
• Ability to think quickly and stay calm under pressure

Knowledge & Skills

• In-depth knowledge of pediatric physiology, developmental stages, and family dynamics
• Proficiency with critical care equipment, including ventilators, infusion pumps, and monitors
• Strong assessment and critical thinking skills to make quick decisions
• Excellent communication skills to interact with children, families, and the care team
• A compassionate, patient, and resilient nature – because PICU can be intense!
